The Junto is a place for irregular, irreverent dialogues, rants and perspectives on music, art, society, books, beer, science, life, politics (in moderation), wine, women and song. And more. Friends for 20 years and now living on opposite coasts, we're going to give this blogging thing a shot.
The name is inspired by a club founded by Benjamin Franklin as a young man. Franklin and an evolving group of cohorts thought, drank and discussed all of the above and more over the course of decades. The ideal of the self-created early American, Franklin made history in journalism, science, business, diplomacy, politics and life. He authored both Poor Richard's Almanack and Fart Proudly. He was an unusual one who took his pursuits seriously but not himself.
