Willie Nelson's guitar is famously all beat-to-hell, so I've stumbled across the perfect solution: the hemp guitar! Touted as using no trees and being sustainable, it's a cool-looking axe with only three major flaws.
First, no one knows how the hell this sounds. Is it only good for stoner-rock? Maybe it really sparks to life when accompanying a Woody Harrelson pro-hemp rant. Or it could be the instrument of choice for the Black Crowes, or maybe that local white-boy-does-reggae-with-a-fake-Jamaican-accent dude. The possibilities are limitless.
Second, if you take a careful look at the website, you'll notice the name "Daryl Hannah" involved. Now, as much as I love Blade Runner and Hannah's performance as Pris, I don't know if that really qualifies her to be selling hemp guitars online.
Lastly, down at the bottom, strategically placed directly beneath a quote from that great 21st century philosopher Willy Wonka, you'll notice the price tag: $3525. Ouch! Talk about a buzzkill. As my good friend Mark noted, "That had better be some good herb!"
